Paragraph Instructions

The paragraphs, which classrooms submit to the Activity Coordinator, are a way for students around the world to share their knowledge and experience with others.  Even simple everyday sights and activities are worth sharing.  By sharing through Imagiverse exchanges, students make subjects (like geography, history, language and even... science!) come alive for themselves and other students who may live far away.

The paragraphs should be interesting to read (or listen to).  Paragraphs should be original material.  Please do not plagiarize from others.  We can not post material which has been copied from another source.   Please do not recycle the same paragraph for different activities.

Each Imagiverse exchange has a theme and the paragraph should reflect that theme.

Please avoid using labels when describing your class (e.g., “we are a talented and gifted class”, “we are a Title 1 class”, “we are a special needs class”, “we are an ESL class”).  It is much more appropriate to say something like “Our class has 10 boys and 11 girls and we are 8 and 9 years old.”

Please be sensitive to other cultures and religions.

The paragraph(s) can be as long as you wish.  They can be written by the teachers (and usually are) but it is fun to include quotes from your students.  The paragraphs can also be a series of quotes from your students.

Always include the teacher name, school name, city, state/country, and grade level (or age) of the students.

Don’t forget to spell check your submissions!

Send your paragraphs via:
