CHRISTMAS IN PENNSYLVANIA
CHRISTMAS IN PENNSYLVANIA
As Christians in a Catholic school, we celebrate Christmas because it is the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We spend time with our families over Christmas break and attend church services to celebrate His birth. We believe that Jesus, the Son of God, was sent to earth to free us from our sins. By giving each other gifts at Christmas, we recognize that many people brought gifts to baby Jesus to acknowledge that he was God on Earth.
After discussing our personal beliefs and Christmas traditions, and what Christmas really means in our hearts, we decided that symbols of our faith, pictures of Santa, or our own likeness would be appropriate for our dolls. We had a great time using our creativity to finish our creations!! We also discussed how our dolls may teach others about our religion or about a tradition that they might not be accustomed to in their homeland. If you receive one of our paper dolls, we hope you enjoy it! We cannot wait to receive dolls from around the world!
Merry Christmas from Pennsylvania!!
