My favorite part of Christmas is the candy canes and spending time with my cousins. We also celebrate Jesus birthday by loving our neighbors.

Christmas is so much fun! We celebrate Jesus Birthday on December 25th. We also give gifts to our family and friends. Santa comes too but only if you are good. We also eat a lot of food. Thats why I love Christmas.

I like Easter because Jesus rose form the dead and I go to Mass. I also color eggs and go on an Easter egg hunt.

On the 4th of July, I invite my friends over to my house. We watch the fireworks together. On this day we celebrate Americas Independence Day.

In the US we celebrate Veterans Day. We do it because they were very brave to go to war and risk their lives for our countrys freedom.

On Mothers Day we give our Mom lots of love and gifts because she is special.

At home we celebrate Fathers Day in June every year. I like Fathers day because it is a special day to tell my Dad how great he is. On Fathers day we treat my Dad to a nice brunch. I give him a nice card for Fathers Day saying, I love you!

I like Earth Day because it encourages everyone not to harm the Earth. It also teaches people not to litter. It is very important to save our natural resources and keep the environment clean.
Gavin
Valentines Day is also referred to as St. Valentines Day. The name came from two saints in prison who wrote a letter about kindness and signed it your Valentine. When we see hearts it reminds us of this day.
Rylan
St. Patricks day is special because we honor the death of St. Patrick. I like it because it is my Dads name and my last name is Irish. We wear green on that day.
Andrew
April Fools day is on April 1. Many people play jokes on that day. One time I put a fake ice cube with a fly in it in my Dads water.

Hello, my name is Mrs. Mildrew and I am a Technology Coordinator at St. Edward the Confessor Parish School. I am so happy to be part of the Imagiverse exchange. I have been working with Miss Browns second grade class using the computer to create our Holiday Dolls.
Our school has 620 students and we have 16 boys and 19 girls in class. Our school is located in Southern California about 2 miles from the ocean.
The school sits high on a hill and we can see the ocean and the beautiful harbor in Dana Point. The weather is always nice and it is a wonderful place to live. St. Edward the Confessor school has classes from kindergarten through eighth grade.
My second grade class loves to work on the computer. They come in once a week for 30 minutes. We have 20 Apple computers in the lab. We used a software program called Pixie to make our dolls. We started by making a list of all the Holidays that we celebrate. Next we researched Holiday information. Finally we created our doll using Pixie software.
Some of my students would like to share their favorite Holidays. We hope you like our Holiday Dolls and look forward to hearing about your class.
