HANUKKAH IN ISRAEL

I am very happy that my pupils can participate in this incredible educational project!
We’d like to tell about the holiday we celebrate in December. It’s called Hanukah. Hanukah is a lovely holiday, especially for children. Children don’t go to school. They have 8 days holiday. The small children learn how to make Hanukah-lamps and tops. They also make jars to remember the little jar of oil which was found in the Temple. They learn many Hanukah songs and they learn the story of the Maccabees. Children also learn to make tasty pancakes and sweet doughnuts.
