Several years ago, Imagiverse received postcards from Shaula Edskes in The Netherlands. Shaula wanted to share about her beautiful country through postcards. She also introduced Imagiverse to Postcrossing.COM, a service which coordinates worldwide postcard exchanging. Imagiverse joined Postcrossing and these pages are dedicated to the cards we have sent and received. We hope to learn much more about countries all over the world. We hope you enjoy learning about the world through these postcards and the additional information we will be sharing at Imagiverse.ORG.

Come back often to see our new cards!!

The school was one of two in the Prado area of northeast Corona. It was used until 1920 and demolished in 1925. I am not sure of the exact location of this school because this general area of northeast Corona is now covered in houses (including mine)! I need to do some research now. :-)

C. Berner, and sat on the southwest corner of Corona City Park on East 6th Street. The architect was Corona resident Leo Kroonen, Sr. This postcard was from around 1930. The building was demolished in 1967. A newer pool exists at that location.

It became the Corona Junior High School in 1923 and was torn down in 1941 and replaced by the current junior high school building. Corona Fundamental Intermediate school is found at the same location at the intersection of Main Street and Grand Boulevard.

It opened in 1929. It has been remodeled several times and is now a “Landmark Building”. It is one of the few old buildings that can still be found in this ever growing city. The original postcard photo was taken around 1930 by local photographer Lester Houck.

It was originally built in 1915 and the local plant merged with Sunkist in 1958. Because of the large number of lemons which were processed there, Corona became known as “The Lemon Capital of the World”. This building still existed when I moved to Corona in 1981 but ceased operation in 2005 and has since been demolished.
